STEFANO PRADEL
Stefano Pradel (1985) obtained his PhD degree from the University of Trento, where he teaches, conducts his research and translates. He works on the relationship between Eros and Thanatos, poetics of the fragment, and the connection between poetry and the arts in contemporary Spanish poetry. In 2018 he was awarded the "XVIII Premio Gerardo Diego para la investigación literaria" with the monograph "Vértigo de las cenizas," dedicated to the aesthetics of the fragment in the work of José Ángel Valente.
He approached photography in 2019, attracted to pictorialism and portraiture, currents that embody some of the interest of his research, namely the vacuity of the subject and its impossibility to narrate itself (thus the relationship between exhibition and concealment), and the insubstantiality of memory (understood as inauthentic, artifactual, undefined).
"Insomniloquium" is his first project, presented to the public during the bi-personal exhibition "(in)sight" (00A Gallery, Trento venue, Sept. 12-26, 2023). In he participated in a collective exhibition with other 300 photographers in Tokyo ("Anarchy*1", Ephemere gallery, Oct. 1-10, 2023).
